Remember when, more than two years ago, I promised a renewal for this group that practically never came?
Well, I'm hoping I can achieve it right now!
Sooo, I came up with this new column dedicated to Chakra's Trivia and fun facts, entitled Did you know?

Did you know that Chakra was initially meant to be a sequel to Okami?
That's right! Originally, when I first imagined the plot of Chakra, I was going to include many characters from Okami, including Amaterasu, Shiranui, Issun and Waka, and of course, many of the bosses too.
The story took place after the events of Okami, and it involved Amaterasu searching for the seven Chakras to make her powers even stronger against Orochi and his fellows.
The idea, however, was progressively modified, and new, original characters were created, one for each Chakra: that's how the seven Chakra Heroes were born.

Did you know the true meaning of the Chakras?
In the Chakra comic, we find seven Heroes, each with a particular power and an element. But seven is also the number of the main Chakras, from which the story takes its name.
The word "Chakra" is Sanskrit for "Wheel" or "Gate". In yoga doctrines, it is said that our body contains seven Chakras, seven gates, through which energy flows. Thanks to meditation, one can direct body energy toward one gate in particular, to enhance its beneficial effects. In the comic, each Hero was assigned to a Chakra, so that each of them has a special ability related to a part of their body. For example, Cheetah has a Chakra related to his legs, which makes him run faster than any other Hero. C.Y.'s Chakra, instead, affects the eyes, and you can obviously notice her peculiarity!
